Művész Filmklub is a bi-weekly event in Budapest organized by Budapest Film in their Művész Cinema. Lili Mesterházy always invites experts regarding the movie and they have a panel discussion about it.

Budapest Film is the owner of many independent Art Cinemas in Budapest. They have frequent pre-premier screenings and film festivals.

Lumiere Film School Graduation
The film school concluded its session with an inspiring screening of the exam short films crafted by our talented students This event not only showcased their creativity and hard work but also marked a celebration of their achievements throughout the year. Laugh Brody Laugh - Brody House
Laugh Brody Laugh is Brody House’s long-running English-language stand-up comedy night, running for over 10 years in the heart of Budapest. Hosted and curated by internationally touring comedian Dave Thompson, the series brings some of the best English-speaking comedians from around the world to the Brody stage.

Estike Filmklub
Estike Film Club – February 10, Menny Kultúrkocsma, 6:30 PM
Folktales, short films, self-expression — all in one evening.
We’ll be screening the short films Füzes Dániel: The Last Soul Belongs to the Devil (Az utolsó lélek az ördögé (Short 2024) - IMDb ) and Fonyó Ábel: One-Eyed, Two-Eyed, Three-Eyed (in Hungarian with English subtitles). After a short break, we’ll continue with a discussion.
The films and folktale adaptations will be discussed in a talk moderated by Szilárd Makaró, with Dániel Füzes, Ábel Fonyó, and ethnographer Botond Kovács.

Mambo Maternica Premier
Nagy Borbála’s first feature film was premiered at the Toldi Cinema. The film drama was produced with the support of the National Film Institute, within the framework of the Incubator Program. Its main roles are played by Török-Illyés Orsolya, Sipos Vera, Székely Rozália, and Schmied Zoltán.
The Hungarian-French-German co-production Mambo Maternica will be released in cinemas on February 26, distributed by Budapest Film.
